Christmas Parade

Robins Christmas Parade 2017The Robins Regional Chamber’s Christmas Parade is one of Georgia’s largest Christmas holiday events and provides a great opportunity for area organizations and businesses to gain valuable exposure and show off their community spirit.  Each year thousands of community members attend this much-anticipated holiday event on the first Saturday each December where businesses, civic groups, educational organizations and recreational entities unite in an effort to make the season jolly!  In addition to the thousands of spectators attending in person, radio listeners will be able to listen live to the parade broadcast on local stations and television viewers will have the opportunity to watch the broadcast on 13WMAZ, 13WMAZ.com, and WSST. This year’s Christmas Parade is sponsored by Robins Financial Credit Union. The Parade will begin at Commercial Circle on South Davis Drive at 10:00 a.m. and end at the intersection of Houston Road and Watson Boulevard. In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Robins Regional Christmas Parade, we’re turning back the clock to the year of Warner Robins’ first parade – 1957. In 1957, the United States was the world’s strongest military power and its economy was booming. Classic cars, planes, and crooners dot the pages of this history defining the era. The theme for the 2017 Robins Regional Christmas Parade is “Come Fly with Me”. Celebrating the best of the era that marked our beginnings is our most-fitting grand marshal for this year’s parade, the Museum of Aviation. “Come Fly with Me”is a classic written in ’57 and made famous the following year by Frank Sinatra as the title track of his then latest album. Parade spectators can expect to see late 50s – early 60s era themed decor, attire, and a nod to our military in celebration of this year’s event.
