Over the course of a two-day retreat, sponsored by Middle Georgia State University, the Leadership Robins Region (LRR) Class of 2018 participated in a variety of team building activities in preparation for the year ahead of them. The Leadership Robins Region program consists of twelve (12) sessions that include full-day programs with formal instruction in leadership from the academic, business, and civic worlds, combined with practical on-site tours and visits with business, industry, governmental, and other leaders in the Robins Region. In addition to these full-day programs, the LRR class partners with a local organization to complete a year-long community project. Past class projects include fundraising and refurbishing a Salvation Army Safe House, supporting Westside Elementary’s STEM initiative with a school greenhouse and outdoor classroom, and renovating Happy Hour Service Center’s Life Skills Workshops. The Chamber is actively seeking proposals for the 2018 LRR Class Project. Have an idea? Let us know today! In order to be eligible for consideration, proposals must be submitted by 4:00 pm February 13th and meet the requirements linked below.
