29th ANNUAL GEORGIA INVITATIONAL GOLF TOURNAMENT | SEPT 20-21
Planning has begun for the 29th Annual Georgia Invitational Golf Tournament to benefit the Museum of Aviation Foundation. The event will be held on September 20th and 21st 2018 at the Pine Oaks Golf Course on Robins Air Force Base. Last year’s event was terrific; great golf, wonderful food and a cause second to none. Senators Johnny Isakson, David Perdue and Congressman Austin Scott served as co-chairmen along with Former Senator Sam Nunn as our National Chairman. We also saw many other elected officials and Robins Air Force Base leaders. Tournaments through 2017 have raised more than $7,270,000 in support of both physical expansion and new, exciting STEM education programs to our Museum of Aviation. Since 1984, more than 1,000,000 students have taken part in organized museum programs that emphasize Science, Technology, Engineering and Math; and last year alone more than 56,000 students benefited directly from these programs. During this past year, the Museum of Aviation has continued its quest for excellence through the National Stem Academy, and Aviation Heritage Center aimed at helping students focus on these critical areas. With your help, we’ve made great progress, but we have a long way to go. So many of our children need inspiration and direction in their lives, role models, and a roadmap to their dreams!! These children represent the hope of this nation and of the world — we cannot fail them; they are our “Leaders of Tomorrow”!! For more information, contact Mary Lynn Harrison.
