On Wednesday, June 6th,  the Robins Regional Education Foundation and Georgia Military College (GMC) awarded $2,000 scholarship funds to GMC student Sarah Fitzsimmons.

Over the past four years, the Robins Regional Education Foundation has partnered with Georgia Military College to recognize and award a resident of Houston County pursuing an education degree at GMC, with preference given to a non-traditional student.

This year’s recipient, Sarah Fitzsimmons, is currently a student at GMC. She says teaching is truly her passion and plans to pursue a career as an educator in Houston County.

The Education Foundation disperses thousands of dollars each year in support of a diverse portfolio of programs.
