WRATS 2045 MTP  Public Open House

The Warner Robins Area Transportation Study (WRATS) acts as the Metropolitan Planning Organization for all of Houston County and a northeastern portion of Peach County. WRATS helps with the planning and coordination of transportation improvements for the Warner Robins Urbanized Area. WRATS is currently developing the 5-year update to the region’s Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), which is a long-range transportation plan that guides the construction of transportation projects over the next 25 years. Proposed MTP projects will include a wide variety of transportation-related improvements including new roads, road extensions, road widenings, and intersection improvements. The MTP will also evaluate multimodal improvements including transit system enhancements and improvements to support non-motorized transportation including bicycle and pedestrian modes.

To provide the community with more information about the project and to gather public input, WRATS is hosting a public open house:

  •  Georgia Military College – October 24, 2019, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm
o 801 Duke Avenue, Warner Robins, GA 31093
o Classroom 324 in Boylan Hall

The public is invited to stop by to learn about the MTP development process, review existing conditions, identify potential areas of concern and speak directly with WRATS staff and members of the study team. The format is an open-house style with no formal presentation.
