The 2019 State of the Base was held on Tuesday, March 19th in the Museum of Aviation’s Century of Flight Hangar. A crowd of more than 300 people showed up to hear from RAFB leadership about what Robins Air Force Base has accomplished in the last year and discuss their priorities and progress. This years’ panel included Mr. Jeffrey Pennington, Director of Staff, HQ Air Force Reserve Command; Brig Gen John Kubinec, Commander, Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex; Ms. Emily Jay, Director of Contracting, Air Force Sustainment Center; Col Edward Goebel, Vice Commander, 461st Air Control Wing; Col Konata Crumbly, Commander, 116th Air Control Wing; Mr. Stephen Niemantsverdriet, Senior Site Lead, AFLCMC; Col Lyle Drew, Commander, 78th Air Base Wing.  Topics discussed included an update on the 1200 in 12 hiring initiative, the future of J-STARS and ABMS as well as the latest economic impact and the upcoming Thunder Over Georgia Airshow.

This premier event is hosted annually by the Robins Regional Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee.

This award is presented to an outstanding member of our community for their support of the Partnership mission, the men and women in uniform at Robins AFB and our nation’s veterans.
