Celebrating Those Who Believe

It was an honor to join Houston County School District in kicking off a new school year and recognizing the incredible educators who shape the future of our community every day.

On behalf of the Robins Regional Chamber and our Education Foundation, we were proud to recognize each of this year's Teacher of the Year finalists—and Houston County Teacher of the Year Brianna Walker of Perry High School—with commemorative plaques and cash awards.

In my remarks, I shared a simple message inspired by Ted Lasso: Sometimes people have to borrow someone else's belief before they discover their own.

That is exactly what great educators do every day.

Our community is grateful to every teacher, administrator, and school employee for investing in the curiosity, character, confidence, and resilience of the next generation.
