YOUR ROLE AS HOST
This is your celebration. While we're happy to help coordinate and promote your event, attendance is strongest when the host organization actively invites its own network. The Chamber's role is to help amplify your celebration, not replace your marketing efforts.
Your ribbon cutting is your event. We encourage you to personally invite customers, vendors, employees, friends, family members, community partners, and other supporters to help make the celebration meaningful and well attended.
The most successful ribbon cuttings are those where the business actively promotes the event to its own network. While the Chamber helps amplify your celebration through our communications and social media channels, attendance is strongest when the host organization treats the ribbon cutting as a celebration and marketing opportunity.
Consider offering tours, refreshments, giveaways, special promotions, or networking opportunities to create a memorable experience for your guests.
Moments Worth Marking
Scheduling Guidelines
- Ribbon cutting requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance.
- Ribbon cuttings are typically scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. or 4:00 p.m.
- Dates and times are subject to Chamber availability
- Early requests are encouraged, as many dates book several weeks in advance.
- Any cancellation or rescheduling request should be communicated as soon as possible.
What to Expect
While every celebration is unique, most ribbon cuttings follow a simple format:

- Brief remarks about the occasion being celebrated
- Remarks from the business owner or organizational leadership
- Group photo and ribbon cutting ceremony
- Networking, refreshments, tours, giveaways, or other activities hosted by your organization
