MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

It’s graduation week!!! We are so excited that our 2020 graduating seniors will have the opportunity to have an in-person graduation this year. BIG KUDOS to Dr. Scott, the Board of Education, and our amazing schools for their dedication and persistence to make this a possibility for these deserving young people.

We are equally excited to regain some of our routines in the past few weeks working IN the Chamber office and preparing for one of the highlights of our program year – the State of the Base. Due to timing compression created by COVID and changes of command, this year’s event will be virtual; but we are so pleased that we were able to keep our original speaker line-up intact and offer this programming directly to attendees right where you are.

Additionally, the Robins Cup has been rescheduled for early August. Player invitations will be sent out this week. The Robins Regional Military Affairs Committee (RRMAC) hosts the Robins Cup Golf Tournament. Robins Air Force Base senior leaders and enlisted service members are paired with community leaders in an 18-hole competition for the coveted Robins Cup. The purpose of this event is to have a day of friendly camaraderie while appreciating and further enhancing the relationship between Robins Air Force Base and the local community. We have very limited sponsorship slots still available. Let us know if you are interested in learning more about participating as a sponsor!

Last Thursday, Governor Kemp released the newest executive orders for “Empowering a Healthy Georgia.” The full orders can be viewed HERE. Additional clarification and resources are also available HERE. Your Chamber is excited to welcome back in-person events in the coming weeks, and we are working with our host locations to ensure that we do our part to keep attendees safe and healthy. As we prepare to resume Eggs & Issues and other events, we need some information from you. Let us know if you are ready for in-person meetings and what, if anything, we can do to address any concerns or questions you may have.
