@Robins Region Warner Robins City Council Candidates 2017 In partnership with Central Georgia Technical College and 13WMAZ, the Robins Regional Chamber hosted a Candidate Forum for Warner Robins City Council Candidates on September 26th, 2017 at the CGTC Auditorium. 13WMAZ’s Frank Malloy moderated the forum alongside a panel of local leaders: Michael Chalmers, Board Chairman of the Robins Regional Chamber and franchise owner of seven Spherion Staffing Service locations in Georgia and Alabama; Jade Morey, Director of Existing Industry at the Houston County Development Authority, Vice Chairwoman of the Georgia Young Republicans, and President of War Town Young Republicans; Donna Sant, First Vice Chair of Houston County GOP; and Wilhemenia Sibley, President of Middle Georgia Democratic Women. Candidates were given the opportunity to introduce themselves, describe their qualifications for office, and answer questions from the panelists. Topics of discussion centered around communication, crime,  tax allocation, and economic efficiency.

In response to your feedback, City Council candidates for Post 1 were asked to answer an additional question regarding proposed changes to Warner Robins’ form of Government. View the candidate responses we’ve received to date. We will continue to update the page as more information becomes available.

There has been a great deal of focus during recent city council meeting about the creation of a City Administrator potentially resulting in a change to the city’s charter. What form of government do you believe Warner Robins needs right now? Please explain your reason and how this affects the way our city functions as well as the role of citizen involvement, mayor and council and the state legislature, should a change occur?
