MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
How are you? How are your employees? How is your business? If you are a leader in your organization, I’m sure you are not only being inundated with information; but you’re also being called on to make decisions with little to no data or guarantee that the circumstances under which you made your choice will be the same 5 months, 5 weeks, 5 days, or even 5 hours from now.
It is important that you know that you’re not alone in this. Your employees are not alone. Your business is not alone. While your chamber staff is working diligently to curate and share relevant content, we are also being equally intentional to not add to the noise by sharing everything that comes our way.
As we continue to see changes in CDC recommendations and executive orders from the White House down to the local levels, we are working to fill in the gaps with resources like LIVE Facebook updates, print-ready signs for business, and access to calls and webinars with experts on timely topics of interest.
Further, so many of you are doing AMAZING things to support our healthcare professionals, first responders, and our numerous small businesses. We see you – all of you; and we are doing our best to capture the good things you’re doing and share in our Robins To-Go group and in our Chamber Page stories. Make sure you tag #RobinsStrong and/or #RobinsSmiles so we don’t miss you! And while you’re on Facebook, make sure you add the Robins Strong filter to your profile picture to show your community pride.
Since the end of last week we have learned about a couple of great resources specifically for our restaurant sector that I wanted to quickly share.
- he National Restaurant Association Education Foundation is offering $500 grants to to restaurant industry employees who have been adversely impacted by COVID-19, financially, whether through a decrease in wages or loss of employment. LEARN MORE
- Cox Media is offering a FREE solution for restaurants to announce that you are open and offering takeout, drive thru, curbside, or delivery service. Participating restaurants will be featured in a Cox Media promotion, providing the community with restaurants that are ready to take their orders.
