Today we unit in a worldwide celebration of generosity.

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

Right now, people around the globe are coming together, showing kindness and generosity by giving their voices, time, money, goods, and more to support communities and causes. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.

Here at the Chamber, we lead the band when it comes to “supporting local,” and that effort includes our area non-profits. They provide for those in need right here in our community. Many of the services they provide take the burden off of local government to provide those services which, in turn, helps keep taxes low.

If you are already involved with a local organization, consider a bonus donation today. And if you aren’t currently affiliated with any of our local charities or organizations, I encourage you to pick a cause that speaks to you; and give something. Any amount helps keep us all stronger longer. Just follow the link below to learn about area nonprofits, schools, and organizations participating in this year’s event.
