MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

How are you? Are you back in the office? Still working from home? Something else? Drop a line and let us know. We are anxious to hear how you are taking care of business (and yourself) through this transitional time. The past two weeks your Chamber team has been creating some new initiatives we will be rolling out soon and working on plans to move our operations back “home” to 1228 Watson Boulevard.

Many of you have asked about industry-specific guidance for reopening and ongoing operations as requirements continue to shift and change. We heard you! Below you will find industry and situation-specific guidance directly from the Governor’s office. Please let us know if there’s any other information you need that you don’t have. We want to ensure that you have everything necessary to operate safely and your business back on track as quickly as possible.

We continue to be blown away by the community pride and generosity demonstrated by our awesome members and this great community honoring our front line workers, supporting local business, and helping those in need. This afternoon you are in for a treat, and I hope you will take a few moments to walk outside and enjoy it. At 2:00 p.m. the 339th Flight Test Squadron will perform an F-15 Eagle Flyover as part of the Air Force Salutes effort to show support for healthcare workers, first responders and all essential personnel on the front-lines of the COVID-19 response efforts.

They will begin in Macon flying over Navicent and Coliseum at 2:05, then head down to Perry Hospital at 2:15, and make their final pass over Houston Medical Center at 2:20. We would love to highlight this as an opportunity for the community to participate by coming out of your homes or offices (practicing social distancing) and show your support as well. Wear your Robins Strong gear or something patriotic, show off your best chalk art with a message of support or wave a flag. Then take a pic and send it to us. We want to see them and share them with the community as well as our partners – the base, hospitals, and first responders.

Email us your photos or tag them on Facebook with #RobinsStrong. We are, indeed, stronger together. Stay safe; and we can’t wait to see you all soon!

Oh, and the Robins Strong store is OPEN today through May 17. This will be our last batch for a while, so get those orders in. And if you interested in bulk orders for your team, please contact Todd at Graphic Guys directly about bulk pricing! We love seeing our community wear the Robins Strong message out loud for all to see! ROBINS STRONG STORE
